About the Role
An enthusiastic and experienced developer is required to join a successful and growing team. They will be required to work on the company’s online corporate and private online web platforms. On a day to day basis they will work together in an agile team to enhance and maintain the Spring MVC based applications. Full end to end application knowledge will be needed. The successful developer will be required to complete their code with full Junit tests.
What You'll Do
• You will be responsible for writing full stack code for the businesses core web application (either online.currenciesdirect.com, business.currenciesdirect.com).
• With support from HTML developers and DBA you will contribute JSP, Java and DB scripts
• You will be a key member in a critical LOB application that server our private and corporate customer base.
• You will write unit tests for all your code and then commit this in to our GIT repository using Pull Requests.
• You will help build and deploy the new changes you have developed on to our new AWS hosting infrastructure.
What You’ll Need
• Relevant experience of 3 to 7 years
• Have exposure to UI development methodology and procedures.
• Used continuous integration tool Jenkins for software development.
• Have knowledge of jQuery JavaScript libraries for providing richer user interface and facilitates asynchronous request invocations using AJAX.
• Good experience developing and maintaining JSP classes within the Spring MVC framework.
• Experience with Spring core technologies including Spring v5
• Understanding of html form-based submission and the pros can cons of this approach.
• In-depth knowledge of Java 8 including the Streaming features
• Advance knowledge of jUnit test writing with Mockito.
• Experience with jBoss/Apache deployment platform
